Unalloyed evil? Another reason why Romney does not speak for me. Please don’t run for Pres. in 2012!

Mitt Romney is sucking up to AIPAC and inspiring violence against Iran.  He makes mormonism look so unappealing.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) condemned the Obama Administration’s approach toward Iran, a republic he described as “unalloyed evil” and controlled by “ruthless and fanatical” leaders in a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee today in San Diego.

“Stop thinking that a charm offensive will talk the Iranians out of their pursuit of nuclear weapons,” said Romney. “It will not.” Later in the address, he punctuated that sentiment by noting: “Once an outstretched hand is met with a clenched fist, it becomes a symbol of weakness and impotence.”

    Thanks for posting this information.

Too many Mormons, including Mitt Romney, think that Israel can do no wrong because they are “the covenant people of the Lord,” and that the Lord will bless those who bless them and curse those who curse them.

But Nephi says, “… I say unto you that as many of the Gentiles as will repent are the covenant people of the Lord; and as many of the Jews as will not repent shall be cast off; for the Lord covenanteth with none save it be with them that repent and believe in his Son, who is the Holy One of Israel.”

The Jews that form the Israeli state are a tiny (but belligerent part) of Jacob’s descendants compared to the scattered remnants of Joseph, the humble “outcasts of Israel,” that are currently gathering out of Babylon into the stakes of (nascent) Zion.

Nephi (2 Nephi 30:10) says that in the last days there will be a great division among the people:

“For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire.”

It seems to me that this division is starting to form, and that Romney is coming down on the wrong side of it.

Brother Romney, before it is too late read the Book of Mormon and repent!

Amen Brother Forest. Hopefully Brother Romney checks in on this site and gets your message! I have been disgusted with his actions since the time he was governor and refused a government escort for Khatami, the former president of Iran, when he was invited to speak at Harvard. He said that having Khatami (who was much more moderate than Ahmadinejad) there around 9/11 was an insult to 9/11 victims families.

I didn’t know about that. The first thing that caught my ear from him was, “We need more Gitmos.”
