Bush didn’t throw shoes, this is what he threw.

Just a reminder to all of us that airborne shoes are hardly sufficient punishment for what Bush threw first.

I saw that film clip about a year ago and still find it amazing.

The commentators ought to have pointed out the obvious fact that guerrillas don’t gather in tight groups of 100 in the middle of the street and mill around. They move in ones and twos and hug the sides of buildings.

Those were non-combatants, huddled together in plain sight, in an attempt to be seen as much. I consider whoever guided that missile to be a mass murderer. I only hope his nightmares torture him to madness.

Yes. How many times has this happened without public broadcast such as in this instance though? What did all of the wedding parties bombed in Afghanistan look like from above with little children as part of the procession?

    That’s all very true.

I think the problem many are forced to confront is how to best resist this sort of thing. We’re all forced to pay for it. Not all of us can simply drop out of the system which is causing so much misery for others.

That’s why I admire people like you, who do speak out, even if there’s not much of a realistic chance that a blow could ever be struck in kind. The speaking out is enough.

Which tells me I’d better do a little more speaking right now, especially in light of recent events.
