Ahmadinejad not genocidal, just wants to debate Obama.

This is what Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has been saying all along if it weren’t for everyone paying attention to cherry-picked bad translations for it’s value in stoking up hatred for Iran.  Today Ahmadinejad said that he has no beef with the Israeli people, but with its government.  He showed himself to be rational as he denounced ideas of a genocide against the Israeli people:

“We are opposed to the idea that the people who live there should be thrown into the sea or be burnt,” he said. “We believe that all the people who live there, the Jews, Muslims and Christians, should take part in a free referendum and choose their government.”

Iran is no threat to Israel and this has been far too clear for a long time for anyone who did a little looking beyond the broad effort of the US and Israeli governments to demonize Iran.  Let this statement show all once and for all that Israel is in no danger from Iran.

Also, I thought Ahmadinejad had a great idea in offering to debate Obama at the UN on global issues.  Obama would undoubtedly lose a great deal of credibility by getting spanked though and will most likely not even come close to dignifying the request for a debate with an answer:

Here’s a bonus I found this article of an interview with Iran’s nuclear program’s father which is fairly straightforward and fair.  Check it out if you are interested:
