Nader decides to run! Go Nader!

My hero, Ralph Nader, for I’ve voted since 1996 in Presidential elections, announced last Sunday that he will run for President again.  I am thrilled as I love the positions he takes on the issues that both Democrats and Republicans love to ignore.  Hopefully his voice will be heard and the issues he gives voice to will be addressed.  For a good example of those issues, hear how he answers Tim Russert’s questions on Meet the Press here:

See his website for an overview of his positions and tell me what you disagree with:

Go Nader!

Just as in 2000… and we saw who we got then!!!

A vote for Nader was a vote for Bush.

    And now:
A vote for Nader is a vote for McCain!

If ya’ like going to war in the wrong country for no apparent reason vote McCain.

Uhhh…lemme see… terrorists from Saudi Arabia flew planes into buildings on the direction of another Saudi in Afghanistan…. soooo….OBVIOUSLY… we should invade Iraq.

Yep! Lemme have some more of that logic…. Maybe Bush can run as Vice-President…. Is that allowed? Because he and his staff are real geniuses.

Remember folks, the ONLY reason Bush got the White House was because of Nader. Thus Nader can be blamed for: The Iraq War, The economy, The price of oil, and possibly even 9-11.(one can only guess on that last one) McCain is just as nutty as Bush but smarter which makes him more dangerous.

This sort of arguement really makes me chuckle. Democrats seem to forget that we live in a Democracy… at least on paper. It is a good thing to have more choice out there, especially when the two major candidates promise to continue the same failed policies we’ve had for a long time now.

Remember, 250,000 registered Democrats in Florida voted for Bush in 2000. Remember, Gore couldn’t even carry his home state! I think the reason Gore lost is not because of Nader, but because the Democrats were singularly uninspirational that year. If the Democrats don’t win the 2008 election by a landslide, there is something seriously broken in their party.

Remember this election: A vote for Obama is a vote for McCain. Vote Nader and let your heart be at peace.
