Gary, Indiana opposes pre-emptive war with Iran… let’s follow suit

Let’s join Gary Indiana in opposing this Administration’s war push in the middle east.  The City Council in Gary passed a unanimous resolution against pre-emptive war against Iran.  If other cities followed suit, how would this effect the US government’s policy?  I remember when the MAI was rejected soundly by many municipal government’s around the country in the 90’s that horrible plan was abandoned in part because of popular resistance.  Check out the story:

When the new National Intelligence Estimate on Iran was released noting that Iran gave up its nuclear weapons program in 2003, the council moved into action. Unanimously, it passed a resolution ensuring that no preemptive military attack by the United States against Iran takes place.

Surprised you didn’t hear about this courageous act? That’s because it happened in the town of Gary, Ind., not in our nation’s capitol.
