A Democrat criticizes AIPAC and his comments are called, “downright dangerous.”

Why would the National Jewish Democratic Council say that Representative Jim Moran’s (D-Va) words were dangerous?  This is really bizzare.  Moran said:

“AIPAC is the most powerful lobby and has pushed this war from the beginning… Because they are so well organized, and their members are extraordinarily powerful — most of them are quite wealthy — they have been able to exert power.”

The Democratic Council shot back with, “Moran’s comments are not only incorrect and irresponsible, they are downright dangerous.”

Perhaps the audience can help me here.  What is downright dangerous about criticizing AIPAC in this way?
